Recording: Sunday Session - 'Navigating Technology'.

With invited guests: Amanda Diekman and Makeba Garraway
Hosted by: Esther Jones and Melissa Crockett-Joyoue

Technology worries can easily lead to conflict and resistance in an unschooling home. In this session, we discussed how we can approach technology in a way that feels coherent and respectful, and that can deepen our connection with and understanding of our children.

In this 90 minute Zoom session we were delighted to be joined by experienced unschooling parents Amanda Diekman (Low Demand Amanda) and Makeba Garraway discussing all things 'Screentime', including themes such as:

  • what it looks like to move from a mindset of control to collaboration
  • how we can give our children agency and keep them safe at the same time
  • how technology can also be a source of connection and learning
  • neurodivergent kids using screens for regulation

What’s included:

  • 90-minute Zoom session (recording)

  • 60-day replay access so you can take your time to watch / listen
  • Two guest speakers (& hosts) with lived experience

  • A supportive, conversational format.
